First time use
Rinse your copper with warm water, fill your copper with water and then leave for six to eight hours. Do not consume this water. This is an important step to clean your copper of any dirt or production residue. This step is also important to activate the copper ions within your copper.
Ayurvedic practices recommend storing water in copper for at least 6-8hrs or overnight before consuming. This extended contact between the water and the copper surface allows for the gradual leaching of beneficial copper ions into the water.
Caring for your copper
Rinse your copper with plain water and a mild dishwashing liquid, using a brush to scrub the interior and eliminate any residue. For a more thorough cleaning, a weekly treatment with natural solutions like vinegar and water or lemon juice and salt can help maintain the copper’s lustre and purity.
